Larry Harper, Purchasing Agent, Dorothy Moss, Inventory Technician and Assistant Buyer, and Roger Price, Storeroom Technician for the Electric Department, together operate the Purchasing and Warehousing Division of the Public Works and Engineering Department.
This division is responsible for citywide purchasing and warehousing. Their operations are critical to the success of all departments in the City. The purchasing functions extend outside Alcoa as opportunities are constantly evaluated to partner with other local governments on purchases of common commodities and goods such as water treatment chemicals, deicing salt, vehicles, and other materials and equipment. Larry is also responsible for disposal of surplus City equipment.
