City of Alcoa Fire-Rescue Department was organized in 1942 and moved into this fire station during 1943. This fire station was located at 1050 Springbrook Road and was utilized as a fire station until 1996 when the station was closed. The department has now grown to three stations with the fire headquarters and Station 1 now housed in the new Public Safety Building completed in 2001 on Wrights Road.
