Professional StandardsInternal Affairs Policy - The Alcoa Police Department initiated this policy April 17, 1995, to investigate the actions of an officer(s) when a complaint is made. Complaint forms and instructions are available at the Alcoa Police Department. Compliment / Comments - The public is also encouraged to compliment officers or express comments about the department. Each compliment and comment is reviewed by the Chief of Police and the appropriate Division Captain. Citizens can use the department form, send a personal letter, or forward an email with their compliment of comment. Open Door Policy - Chief of Police Ken Burge is available to any citizen who wishes to discuss a concern she or he may have. Appointments are not necessary, but are recommended. |
