38th Annual FreedomFest Sets Date

The City of Alcoa’s FreedomFest is coming back with a bang. The City’s 38th edition of the overwhelmingly popular Independence Day celebration is set for Saturday, June 25th at the Alcoa Duck Pond.

The world renowned Pyro Shows, Inc., a fireworks production company headquartered in LaFollette, Tennessee, will again provide the event’s patriotic firepower. The 47 year-old pyrotechnics company has a long-standing relationship with the City, having provided the City its fireworks products since the 1980’s. Now, the company does the entire show, from setup until the last shot is fired.

The City is currently taking applications for food vendors and sponsors. Information and applications can be obtained online at the City of Alcoa website (www.cityofalcoa-tn.gov/freedomfest) or by calling Special Projects Coordinator Tricia Tipton at 865-380-4787.

Additional information about parking areas and exit routes, entertainment and exhibits will be announced at a later date.
