All officers work out of the public safety headquarters located at 2020 North Wright Road. Officers utilize a variety of vehicles for patrol that include bicycles, motorcycles, and unmarked and marked police vehicles.

For traffic enforcement duties, special events, and dignitary protection, the division currently utilizes three Harley Davidson police motorcycles.
In an effort to reduce accidents and better enforce traffic laws, the department formed the Traffic Safety Team in 2005 as an addition to the division. The team includes motor officers and specially assigned patrol officers.

SRO George Parker also provides valuable, law-related supplementary education for students in the schools that he serve.

The Patrol Section also has officers certified on police bicycles. These officers are able to patrol the greenway and work special events such as the annual FreedomFest celebration at the Alcoa Duck Pond.

The section currently has one canine officer. Officer Matt Caldwell and his K-9 partner, Kona, supplement the patrol efforts with narcotics detection, criminal apprehension, and article searches. Officer Caldwell and K-9 Kona also play a big role in our schools educating our children to the dangers of drug use.
