Alcoa City Schools Board of Education
Description: The Alcoa City Schools Board of Education is an elected five-member board that has legal authority over the operation of all public schools in the district within the framework established by the state legislature and the Tennessee Department of Education. The Board is also responsible for the hiring of a director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the district. The Board members select a chairman and vice-chairman who serve two-year terms.
