Civic Arts Center Advisory Board
Description: In 2008, Maryville College established the Civic Arts Center Advisory Board to over see the newly constructed Clayton Center for the Arts, housed on the college campus and a joint venture between the City of Maryville, the City of Alcoa and Maryville College. The board is administered by Maryille College with members appointed by the Alcoa Board of Commissioners. The City of Alcoa currently has 4 commission appointed members, which must also be approved by the joint members. There are additional 8 members that are jointly appointed by the cities and the college, all serving either 2 or 3 year terms.
