Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous Waste collection events are scheduled typically two times per year. These countywide events are coordinated by Alcoa’s Solid Waste Manager and the Blount County Solid Waste Authority. Please refer to local newspapers for announcements of these collection dates (usually held one Saturday each in the spring and fall). Acceptable items include paint, pesticides, liquid household cleaners, batteries, and chemical sprays.
