The City of Alcoa will make no adjustments to the collection of residential solid waste, residential recyclables, or commercial / industrial solid waste for the Good Friday holiday on March 21, 2008. Residents collected on Friday are asked to have collection cart to the curb Thursday evening or no later than 6:30 a.m. Friday morning. There will be two trucks collecting residential carts with plans to finish all routes by noon. Brush collection normally scheduled for Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21, will be collected on Thursday, March 21. The Landfill will also be open for normal operating hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on both Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22.
