During the weeks of Christmas and New Year holidays the following adjustments will be made for residents and commercial customers in the City of Alcoa.

Residential, Bulky Waste and Leaf Collection will be adjusted as follows:

Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday, December 25 will be collected on Wednesday, December 26. Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday, January 01 will be collected on Wednesday, January 02, 2008. Wednesday thru Friday routes remain unchanged.

Residential Recycling will be adjusted as follows:

Collection normally scheduled for Wednesday, December 26 will be collected on Thursday, December 27. Collections normally scheduled for Friday, December 28, will be collected on Saturday, December 29. There will be no change in recycling collection during the New Year holiday week.

Commercial Sanitation Collection:

There will be no commercial pick ups on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 or Tuesday, January 01, 2008.

The Alcoa / Maryville / Blount County Landfill will be closed all day on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1.
