The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today that contract work to complete a connection to a new water main on Sam Houston Road will occur between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2007.During this time, water service will be interrupted for customers on the dead end of Jackson Hills Drive. Customers may experience cloudy water when their water service resumes and should let water flow for a few minutes to flush out the discolored water. The work is related to the construction and startup of the City’s new water treatment facility.
