01/26/2010 Man Sought in Alcoa Burglaries Is Now In Custody | |

The City of Alcoa Police Department announced today that a 29-year-old man who detectives were searching for in connection with multiple burglaries turned himself in to law enforcement authorities. On Friday, January 15th, Eric Sean Hawkins, 29, Loudon, turned himself in to the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, where he was being held on an outstanding warrant charging him with violation of probation. Alcoa detectives placed a hold on Hawkins at the Loudon County Jail, and once his charge is disposed of there, he will be brought to Blount County to face several charges. Detectives have filed nine warrants in connection to two burglaries, charging Hawkins with theft over $1,000, theft over $500, two counts of burglary, two counts of vandalism, and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. More charges are possible in connection to a third burglary, and the investigation is continuing. Warrants currently filed against Hawkins stem from burglaries on October 26, 2009 at Chilhowee RV Center, 4037 Airport Highway, Louisville, and on January 6th at International House of Prayer, 1802 Airbase Road, Louisville. Stolen items included cash, checks, credit cards, weapons and other valuables.
