The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today that a portion of Middlesettlements Road will be closed on Monday, July 9, 2007 beginning at approximately 6:00 a.m. The section to be closed is between Robert C. Jackson Drive and Old Mt. Tabor Road. This closure is due to a sanitary sewer line installation that crosses Middlesettlements Road.

Detour information for travelers in the area is as follows: For west-bound commuters, take a left onto Robert C. Jackson Drive, turn right onto W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, and then right onto Old Glory Road. For east-bound commuters, turn left onto Old Glory Road, then left onto W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, and then left onto Robert C. Jackson Drive.
