During the weeks of Christmas and New Year holidays the following adjustments will be made for residents and commercial customers in the City of Alcoa.

Residential, Bulky Waste and Leaf Collection will be adjusted as follows:

· Residential sanitation collections normally scheduled for Thursday, December 25 will be collected on Friday, December 26.

· Residential sanitation collections normally scheduled for Thursday, January 01 will be collected on Friday, January 02, 2009. Monday thru Wednesday and Friday routes remain unchanged.

· There will be no residential bulky waste, demolition or leaf collection on December 25, 26 and January 01.

Residential Recycling will be adjusted as follows:

· Collection normally scheduled for Friday, December 26 will be collected on Saturday, December 27.

· There will be no change in recycling collection during the New Year holiday week.

Commercial Sanitation Collection:

There will be no commercial pick ups on Thursday, December 25, 2008 or Thursday, January 01, 2009.

The Alcoa / Maryville / Blount County Landfill will be closed all day on Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1.
