03/14/2007    Alcoa Power Outage Scheduled for Wildwood Substation

The City of Alcoa Electric Department will have a power outage on Thursday, March 15, 2007 for work at its Wildwood substation. The outage is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and will last approximately two hours. In case of severe weather, the outage will be rescheduled for 2:30 p.m. on March 16 or the first suitable afternoon thereafter.

Alcoa Electric customers in the following areas will experience a power interruption: Wildwood, Prospect, Ellejoy, Seymour, Nails Creek, Pickens Gap, Temple Road, Hinkle Road, Brookhaven, Porter, East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Walland, Cold Springs, Sevierville Road, Heritage, Pea Ridge Road, West and East Millers Cove, Laurel Valley and Townsend and the side roads off those previously mentioned.

The outage is necessary to hookup an additional substation transformer. Customers are encouraged to call Alcoa Electric at 380-4890 for additional information.
