08/07/2007 Alcoa Schedules Saturation Patrol | |

The Alcoa Police Department will be conducting a traffic safety wide area saturation patrol on Monday, August 20, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Officers will be enforcing all moving and non-moving violations on city streets and state routes while paying particular attention to Alcoa Highway (US 129) and Pellissippi Parkway (I-140). Officers will be focusing on aggressive drivers, speeders, and seatbelt/child restraint violations. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Maryville Police Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol will also be exhibiting an increased presence during this time period. This saturation patrol is being conducted as part of our commitment to safe travel on our highways and is funded by a Wide Area Saturation Patrol (WASP) grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office. | |
