The cities of Alcoa and Maryville announced today multiple lane closures scheduled for March 10-11, 2011. The work is part of the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Master Plan, an ongoing project between the two cities to coordinate timing of the traffic signals along the commuter corridors. These lane closures are to facilitate the concrete median removal for the ATMS project. The lane closures are as follows:

§ The inside lanes in both directions of Hall Road at Bessemer Street; Lamar Alexander Parkway at Watkins Road; and Lamar Alexander Parkway at Montvale Road will be closed Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 8:00 p.m.– until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. This work will be for concrete demolition and filling of holes.

§ The same locations will be closed on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for asphalt paving and the installation of signage.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling through these work zones.
