The City of Alcoa announced today that a flag raising ceremony will take place at its new Alcoa Service Center on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. At 7:45 a.m., Alcoa Mayor Don Mull and the Board of Commissioners will raise the flags that will fly over the new site. The City of Alcoa Public Works & Engineering Department, Electric Department, and Meter Division along with the Alcoa Municipal Employees Credit Union moved into the new facility on Saturday, July 12, 2008 and began work there today.

The Alcoa Service Center is located at 725 – 727 Universal Street off Wright Road on the former site of Burruss Wood Products / Veach May Wilson. A grand opening and public open house will be planned for a later date.
