The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today that Highway Markings Inc. will be removing and re-striping the west bound side of the Louisville Road intersection at the U.S. 129 bypass to include an additional turn lane and signal. The work is expected to last two nights beginning on Wednesday August 18th with work hours being 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Access to the area businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling through this work zone.
