The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today that geometric improvements will take place at the intersection of Watt and Bessemer Street. Watt Street will be closed beginning Monday August 23 to through traffic. The work will last approximately one week.

Motorists traveling through the area will need to allow a few extra minutes to reach their destination. Motorists are reminded to exercise caution in the work area.
