Visitors

The City of Alcoa and Blount County have much to offer visitors who come to this area of East Tennessee. Here you’ll find helpful information on planning your next trip to Alcoa!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Sitting at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park , Alcoa is about a 30 minute drive to the most visited national park in the country. Hiking, horse-back riding, and fishing are just a few of the activities you and your family can experience in the Smokies! This beloved park to Blount County residents is home to native plants, wildlife, and, of course, beautiful scenery at every turn.

Want to plan an educational trip to the Smoky Mountains? Visit the Great Smoky Mountain Institute at Tremont for more information on educational camps for children and adults. Tremont offers hands-on activities for young adults on topics like aquatic life – especially salamanders - along the mountains streams and rivers surrounding the facilities. Call (865) 448-6709 for more information.

Don't forget to visit the new Smoky Mountain Heritage Center on your visit to Blount County. Events are held throughout the year so plan your visit today!

Recreation

From public parks to sporting events, Alcoa offers a number of fun and convenient places to spend your leisure time.
