The Finance Director oversees the strategic and overall operations of the finance and accounting activities for the City of Alcoa. Also, the Finance Director plays a vital role in the development of the annual budget.
The Administrative Assistant for the Finance Director and the Finance Department coordinates the daily tasks associated with financial transactions, filing, and processing.
Accounts Payable and Accounting personnel coordinate the expenses and revenues of all city departments. Daily and monthly reports from these divisions are important to the accuracy and timeliness of Alcoa's financial standing.
Clerks process all customer utility and property tax payments each day. They also help answer customer questions regarding their bill or account information as well as high bill inquiries.
Customer Service Representatives assist customers with utility payment adjustments as well as coordinate service termination with utility technicians and meter readers. Customer Service also addresses high bill complaints.
The TVA Programs Coordinator manages all TVA energy right programs as well as assists the New Service and Customer Service Departments.
New Service Representatives help customers sign up for new utility service, transfer service, disconnect service or add a security light. Also, New Service processes Tennessee State Electrical Permits.
