REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The City of Alcoa seeks qualifications to procure a planning firm for the purpose of performing planning activities for the City’s recently funded Safe Streets for All planning grant. The plan should address a minimum of six of the eight components required for a Safety Action Plan as outlined by the Department of Transportation. After evaluation of submittals by Alcoa staff, one or more firms may be selected to provide planning services for each respective grant award/project as it is identified.

Summaries of qualifications for services will be received until 2:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2025, via email to Megan Brooks P.E., Development Services Director (mbrooks@cityofalcoa-tn.gov ).

The City of Alcoa reserves the right to accept or decline any bid or proposal made on any proposed purchase or contract.

The proposed contract has been developed in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which provides that the no person shall, on the grounds of race, sex, age, national origin, or disabling condition, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance
