The City of Alcoa is working closely with RealtyLink and representatives from Costco to bring one of the company’s newest stores to Alcoa. The planned site will anchor the growing downtown center at Springbrook Farm, a development that continues to attract new investment and energy to the community.
As negotiations move forward, the City of Alcoa will partner with both parties to complete critical site preparations, including brownfield site preparation, traffic signal infrastructure, utility improvements, and construction of a section of Werner Avenue.
To support these efforts, the City anticipates utilizing bond financing structured around future sales tax generation from the project—an approach that enables the continuation of site investments without affecting existing property tax levels. This means that property taxes will remain the same for Alcoa citizens and business owners. Together, these efforts will activate a key 20-acre parcel and help welcome a national brand that serves not only local families and businesses but also residents across the region.
The City of Alcoa is excited for the continued partnership with RealtyLink and Costco as we create a key site development and the expansion of the ever-growing downtown area.
