[ARCHIVED] Alcoa Electric Power Interruption Scheduled

The City of Alcoa Electric Department will be conducting linework on Jones Bend Road during the afternoon of Wednesday, April 25, 2018. This work will require the interruption of power to customers on Jones Bend Road, River Oaks Subdivision, Jones Lake Way, Pine Tree Road, Deer Run Drive, Westlake Circle, Lakefront Drive, Near Shore Drive and Peninsula Hospital.

The outage should last no longer than three hours (between 1:00 pm. and 4:00 p.m.) In the event of inclement weather, the alternate date for the work will be Thursday, April, 26th.

Those in the affected outage area with a current telephone landline will receive a voice message regarding the event. Customer using the new PowerPal app and signed up to receive notifications of power outage events will receive text messages.

Customers with telephone landlines are encouraged to make sure their account reflects their current telephone number in order to receive voice notifications of power events. Mobile device users can download the PowerPal app to report and view electric outages as well as view and pay their bill.  The free PowerPal app is available in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

The City of Alcoa apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates its customers’ patience while the work is completed.
