The City of Alcoa Electric Department will be
conducting repairs to the Wildwood Substation at approximately 3:00 a.m.
Wednesday, August 22nd. This work will require the interruption of power to customers in the Wildwood area as well as Sevierville Road, the portion of Seymour served by Alcoa Electric, Ellejoy, Oak View and Cold Springs.
The outage should last no longer than one hour.
Those in the affected outage area should receive notification via a reverse 911 call. Customers using the new PowerPal app and signed
up to receive notifications of power outage events will receive text messages.
Customers with telephone landlines are encouraged
to make sure their account reflects their current telephone number in order to receive
voice notifications of power events. Mobile device users can download the
PowerPal app to report and view electric outages as well as view and pay their
bill. The free PowerPal app is available in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
