On December 16, 2019, at approximately 9:37 pm, the City of Alcoa Police and Fire Departments, along with AMR Ambulance Service were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Alcoa Highway at Lois Lane.  Upon arrival, Brandon Wilson, age 43, from Maryville, was found unresponsive and trapped in the driver seat of his vehicle.  Mr. Wilson was extricated from his vehicle and transported to the University of Tennessee Hospital by AMR Ambulance Service and died as a result of his injuries.  Witnesses reported Mr. Wilson’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Alcoa Highway when it suddenly crossed the median and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Co Tran, age 59, from Alcoa.  After striking the first vehicle, Wilson’s vehicle was then unavoidably struck by a second southbound vehicle driven by Tammy Seaver, age 38, from Kingsport, who sustained a minor injury and was transported by AMR Ambulance Service to Blount Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
