The City of Alcoa announced today that work has been completed at the Hall Road CSX railroad crossing and Hall Road is now open.
Weather permitting, Wednesday, March 18th, the work will continue at the crossing on Louisville Road at the entrance to Green Meadow Country Club causing Louisville Road to be closed between the entrance to Green Meadow Country Club and Andover Blvd. Thursday, March 19th work should move to the West Hunt Road crossing, closing West Hunt Rd. between Louisville Rd. and Crosswinds Way. If work is not completed Thursday, it will continue Monday, March 23. No work is planned for Friday.
Benchmark Consulting, a representative of CSX railroad, is replacing ties of CSX lines and roadway crossings in the City of Alcoa.
Each closing is expected to take 1- 2 days. Detours will be signed during the closure by Benchmark Consulting. Motorist should use caution when in the areas and allow extra travel time for morning and evening commutes.
