The City of Alcoa announces that weather permitting, Roadsafe Traffic Systems, Inc., a representative of Norfolk Southern, is scheduled to begin railroad repairs and replacement of Norfolk Southern lines and roadway crossings in the City of Alcoa beginning Monday March 23rd, 2020 at 8 AM. The following crossings will be impacted during this work: - E. Lincoln Rd. east of Hall Rd (SR 35) – closed beginning Monday March 23rd.
- Springbrook Rd. west of N. Wright Rd. – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- McArthur Rd between Springbrook and N. Wright – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.

- N. Wright Rd. between Universal St & McArthur – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- Poplar Street – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- E. Hunt Rd (SR 335) – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- Grade Rd east of Russell Rd – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- Cusick Rd west of Singleton Station Rd– scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
- S. Singleton Station Rd northwest of Cusick Rd – scheduled to close as work approaches intersection.
Railroad crews will be closing these road crossings to traffic as they approach the crossings. Some of these closures may be grouped and closed at the same time if in close proximity. Each closing is expected to take 1- 2 days. Detours will be signed during the closure by Roadsafe Traffic Systems, Inc. Motorist should use caution when in the areas and allow extra travel time for morning and evening commutes.
