The City of Alcoa Police Department Chief David Carswell said today that detectives have been investigating a suspicious death first reported on February 16th at 11:42 a.m. Alcoa police officers responded to a report of deceased person at 714 Tupelo Way, Louisville, TN. Upon arrival, 26-year-old resident, John Willis was found deceased. Alcoa police detectives, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Maryville Police Department, along with the Blount County, Campbell County and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Offices were able to identify 38-year-old Steven Greene of Maryville, TN as a suspect. On February 24th, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Blount County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team assisted Alcoa Police in taking Greene into custody. Greene is being held at the Blount County Justice Center on a charge of Criminal Homicide.
