REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Alcoa will be accepting statements of qualifications from professional consulting engineering firms to provide professional engineering (PE) services in the creation of the City of Alcoa Stormwater Design Manual, the City of Alcoa Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Operation and Maintenance Program, updates to the City of Alcoa Stormwater Ordinance reflecting changes made in the 2021 State of Tennessee Construction General Permit, and updates to the City of Alcoa Stormwater Utility Manual. After evaluation of submittals by Alcoa staff, a firm will be selected to provide services as indicated.
Summaries of qualifications for services will be received until 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at the offices of the Alcoa Public Works & Engineering Department, 725 Universal Street, Alcoa, Tennessee. Proposals submitted for this contract should be emailed to Dakota Gentry, EIT at dgentry@cityofalcoa-tn.gov. Submittals can also be mailed to Dakota Gentry, EIT, Civil Engineer I, City of Alcoa, 725 Universal Street, Alcoa, TN 37701. The submitter shall be responsible for the early delivery of their proposal. Mailed summaries should be labeled "Alcoa Stormwater Manual Creation and Ordinance Updates Proposal Enclosed." Requirements for this contract may be obtained from the Public Works & Engineering Department, City of Alcoa, 725 Universal Street, Alcoa, Tennessee 37701 (865) 380-4800. Each submitter shall provide four (4) copies of their statement of qualifications if submitting by mail.
The City of Alcoa reserves the right to accept or decline any bid or proposal made on any proposed purchase or contract.
The proposed contract has been developed in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which provides that the no person shall, on the grounds of race, sex, age, national origin, or disabling condition, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
